Enough is Enough: Baby Bang Hair Extensions

While we are all for women embracing hair extensions as the ultimate accessory, we still believe it's important to feel comfortable in your own hair. We also know how addictive hair extensions can be....so why does it feel like Baby Bangs a company that specializes in synthetic hair extensions for baby girls is akin to giving a toddler a cocktail.

Let the babies be free of our vanities.

We see you Kim Kardashian: Love the Hair Extensions

So Fierce.....we love The Kardashians and their love of hair extensions. To achieve Kim's great lengths we'd recommend 22" Bohyme Silky Straight in 22".

If you have time to drop by any of our Sunny's locations ask to browse through our look books and use us as your ultimate Prom resource. You'd be surprised how a set of wavy clip in hair extensions transforms you into the belle of your ball.

St. Patricks Day: Green Clip In Hair Extensions...

It's been a long...cold winter for most of us...

Not saying that you need to take it as far as the guy in the photo, but Sunny's Hair and Wigs has the cutest Clip In Highlight Hair Extensions in Green just in time for St. Patrick's Day. Nothing says spring like green tinted beer and green hair extensions.

The Clip In Highlight pieces are $5.99 a piece and require much less commitment than our friend in the photo.

We are super excited for tonight's premiere of Keeping up with the Kardashians!

First, we love how they use hair extensions to enhance their already fabulous hair!

Second, we relate to their struggles of running a boutique together with sisters and friends...it's so much fun but not without it's drama.

Third, we find it genuinely harm free entertainment!

Products we Love for Indian Hair

We love love love Indian Hair at Sunny's Hair. In this economy we are all about upgrading to Indian Hair because while it costs a little more initially, after one or two reuses it more than pays for itself and starts to save you money. The key is to take care of your hair and realize that it's been stripped of its moisture source...the scalp and the nutrient oils it once received from the sebum.

So... we love products that are used by Indian women because it keeps a consistent regimen for Indian hair and ensures that your Indian hair lasts as long as possible. We generally recommend that women not use products that they'd use on their own hair on their Indian Hair. We generally hate mineral oil and petroleum on any hair let alone Indian hair. But we love products such as extra Virgin Coconut Oil and very gentle shampoos without Sodium Laureth Sulfates.

But... I have a new Indian hair product that I'm loving: Coconut Amla Revitalizing Hair Treatment
Here's a little blurb from the product description:
"For shiny, thick locks women in India rub it in! Amla that is! This “divine” fruit, also known as Indian Gooseberry, is one of the richest natural sources of vitamin C. Just a touch of this extract on your lifeless locks brings a natural shine, soft texture and rejuvenated health. Hair stays strong with anti-oxidant rich Grape Seed and Neem oils, while Coconut oil and Henna make each strand extra luscious! It’s a miracle for your mane! And don’t forget your body – rub in any leftovers for touchable skin softness!"

Why Take This Journey:

Coconut Oil: nourishes
Neem Oil: soothes scalp
Amla Extract: rejuvenates
Henna: adds volume and shine
Grape Seed Oil: protects
Avocado Oil: moisturizes scalp

The product retails for $45 and is available at Global Goddess Beauty.

Sunny's Brides: What type of Sunny's Bride are you?

As wedding season approaches Sunny's reminds you to integrate hair extensions into your Bridal look. Brides.com featured Sunny's which we have reposted again here:

If there's one day that epitomizes the need for a good hair day, it's your wedding day. And if you want a glamorous look, or just to change up your ordinary hairstyle, you should look at extensions and wigs from Sunny's.

I stepped into the Peachtree Street boutique (there are 2 more in Minneapolis and Mesa, AZ) and was promptly captivated by the range of styles and shades. The boutique's motto is "Change your hair, change your life"—and lucky for Atlanta brides, you can do it stylishly at a range of price points. Wigs with precision cuts a la Katie Holmes or Posh beckon to the brave bride, but extensions can easily be added to classic updos (I wish I'd had this for my wedding!) to give your pulled-back hair instant Audrey Hepburn allure.

I saw really lovely extensions starting at less than $40, with prices increasing with hair length and quality. I looked (and touched) beautiful hair from India, a favorite with African-American brides, as well as tons of incredibly realistic blond shades—all of it real hair that would blend in with your own very easily.

Sunny's will make custom clip-ins for you at higher prices, but even the lower-priced extensions can work. And they've got a fab look book so you can point to exactly the look you want. For more info, talk to co-owners Dafina and Tonye, sisters who couldn't be sweeter.

New Product Spotlight: Loreal Ever Pure Moisture Shampoo

Many shampoos that clients use on Indian hair or Hair Extensions contain harsh sulfates that strip the hair of the moisture that it needs. Over time, the continual stripping of moisture can aggravate the hair and corroding the cuticle to cause tangling.

We always recommend that our customer use a sulfate free shampoo on their hair extensions, but because most have to be purchased at health-food stores, most people never get around to it.

But now... at your local Walgreens or Target you can pick up Loreal's new mass market Sulfate Free Shampoo and moisture rich conditioner line.... Ever Pure

Looks we Love: Halle by Halle Berry

We know....we know... we always love Halle Berry. But we couldn't notice how effortlessly flawless she looks in her ad campaign for upcoming debut of Halle by Halle Barry perfume.

To achieve this look we of course recommend Natural Wave Indian hair 14". We'd blend some soft layers into the hair and leave it in it's soft natural waves.
