After you’ve gotten your wardrobe down pat, here are a few tips to help you bring out your inner flower child:
1. A center part is absolutely necessary! This is the base for all of your various looks.
2. If your hair isn’t quite as Cher’s…yet, try clip-ins to give you added length. 16”, 18”, or 20”(for those of you that want to go all out) will give you the needed length to create this look. Remember, the key word here is “long!”
3. Remember that this isn’t a “polished” look. You want soft, wavy, touchable hair. Part the hair in half and put it in two large braids overnight or if pressed for time, an hour before you have to go out. Take them apart before you head out the door and lightly style with your fingers.
4. Accent this look with side braids, headbands, interesting hairpins, etc. Make the look your own. The 70’s were all about expressing yourself…now here’s your chance!
